"Marketing of Indian Iron Ore" was the title given by the Federation of Indian Mineral Industries (FIMI) to its recent conference in Goa. Dr. Heribert Breuer presented the allmineral concept together with the Executive Director of Hari Machines, Sabyasachi Mishra.

The market is still booming, but will require a higher quality ore product in order to meet long-term global demand. This is where Breuer and his Indian partner Mishra come in: upgrading iron ore to high-value concentrates will save costs in the smelter and improve sales opportunities. The second important aspect of the presentation explained how allmineral machines, marketed in India by Hari Machines, can extend mine lifetimes.

The allmineral approach is of special interest since Indian demand for iron ore is expected to double by 2015. "We attracted great interest," reported Breuer from the FIMI conference. "Improving the quality of the material produced and at the same time extending the lifetime of the mines is a completely new approach for many mine owners and they are prepared to rise to the challenge."
