Pressels Private Limited, Cuttack, Orissa was established in 1967 to manufacture steam boilers.
The Promoter - Director, Sri S.C.Mullick, a dynamic engineer (best graduate and gold medalist from Jadavpur University),
and having worked as a Senior Officer in the Orissa Boiler Directorate, resigned his job and started this industry.
In those days small boilers were all of imported design having less efficiency. The company felt the need to develop
fuel efficient boilers compatible to the need of our country and started developing boilers on a need based basis.
The earliest attempt was to develop small boilers which would be simple in construction, having sufficient steam and
water capacity with wide water space and good accessibility for internal cleaning and multiple circuit evaporation.
Their first patent (No. 152232 dt. 28.11.81) was for such a boiler that was well accepted throughout the country and even
in Bangladesh as it required minimum skills in an operator.
PPL´s next venture was to design recovery WATER TUBE. Boilers for paper and pulp industry which are very intricate
in design - PPL patented the same in the year 1981 (No. 152113). The third patent (No.179440) to its credit was for
another recovery boiler especially made to suit small paper mills using agro residue for pulping.
This project has
not been tried on a commercial scale yet as the prototype trial is in process and has lost priority.
PPL has also undertaken a number of retrofit works to upgrade and rebuild existing boilers to
increase their capacity by introducing advanced combustion system.
The company´s latest venture is into the field of design, manufacture and commissioning of waste heat recovery boiler using waste gas from
Sponge Iron Kilns and and generating Power from the steam produced thereof.

With the surge of Indian economy the demand for electrical power has surged and to cater to the needs of the Power
Industry, Hari Machines has entered into a technical assistance agreement with M/s Pressels Private Limited (PPL),
Cuttack, Orissa for manufacture and supply of Boilers.
PPL was established in the year 1967 and has designed, manufactured
and supplied Boilers to various industries like Steel, Paper, Agro
Based, Textile, Chemical, etc. All the boilers are running successfully
across India and abroad.
Hari Machines Ltd. offers conventional boilers fired with hard coal and washery rejects,
boilers with high steam pressure and temperature parameters, atmospheric
fluidized bed boilers, heat recovery steam generators and chemical
recovery boilers.
Hari Machines Ltd. can manufacture boiler elements including membrane walls, steam
drums, coils, air and flue gas ducts, steel structures as well as
heat exchangers and various pressure vessels based on the requirement
of customers.
For several years already the company meets the requirements of ISO-9002
and follows IS, ASME, DIN standards and many others for its existing
product lines. In 2004, thanks to successful implementation and optimisation
of ERP system, Hari Machines Ltd. has been able to stream line all the aspects of
integration of different departments, suppliers/vendors and out sourcing.
